A Sponge Being Used For Application

Foundations comes in liquid, cream , gel , cake or mousse form. Today's post is about my favorite makeup tools for applying foundations as a pro . These tools i have used and found to be very great asset in any makeup artist kit.

In no particular order am i talking about these tools.

  1. Sponges/Wedges - These are non-latex foam specially designed for the face . I normally wet them with water to make them dump and this aids in application. It's works great with cream products . These are staples in every makeup artist kit . They are meant to be used on a person and then tossed.
  2. Brushes - There are so many of them .

  •  Buffer Brushes - Great for buffing foundation into the skin. They work really with all forms of products. Personally , i love the Real Techniques buffing brush and Sedona Lace buffer brush.

Real Techniques Buffer Brush

  •  Flat Foundation Brush - This is the standard brush for foundation application. I love to use this first before i go over it with a sponge or a small buffer brush. They work really well. The small ones are great for applying concealer under the eyes and also for highlighting purposes.
  • Stippling Brushes -  Dual fiber brushes , great for applying liquid foundation, cream blushes. Great for achieving airbrush foundation application.

Small - Eve Pearl Stippling Brush

Big - Sedona Lace Pro Brush

  • Concealer Brushes  - Love this eyeshadow brushes for concealing purposes.

     3. Beauty Blender - It works just like a sponge; however the size when dumb makes coverage  working on  face or body faster.Personally i love using the beauty blender for my brides. The coverage is more settle and smooth.

  1. cool! I personally use the ELF powder brush but then again its a flat top brush very effective for all types of foundations and then to give a seamless finish i wet my beauty bender sponge and dab it all over for an air brushed finish. My fav is the sponge applicator be it the wedges or beauty blender, love the finish!
