TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Protective Spray

My God is really right by saying that ,'' For the lack of knowledge , My people perish''. My makeup and hair business is really teaching me lots of things . Please don't get me wrong . I realize there are 1000 and 10 things our local beauticians don't know or even do on  our face and hair when we visit them .

I really love wearing my hair looking dry and bouncing and so i was always going for blow drying and straightening from both high and low end salons. There was never an occasion they used any heat protector on my hair before using the wild hot air.

Enough with my blubbing....

TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Protective Spray

TRESemme Thermal Creations Heat Protection is such an amazing product. The basic work of any hair protector is to shield the hair from damaging while being flat ironed , blow drying or even curling. I read so many good reviews of this particular brand and I quickly fell in love with it. This product promises to guard against heat and friction to keep the your hair or weave shiny and incredibly soft . Interestingly , it's a fantastic tool for instantly transforming hair textures , enhancing strands' flexibility to reform and hold shape.

It can be used on wet or dry hair before styling.I got it for less than $5.00 .

Product Info and Tips on Usage

The spraying cap

TRESemme is really a budget friendly pro brand. I use it on Kellogg's hair recently and I realized it looked healthy and shinning. I don't have any cons for now.

Hope you try it.

Brows Using Wet n Wild Color Icon Pencil in Dark Brown

From my Wet n Wild review on the Color Icon Pencil , I promised to show the color how the color swatched when used as a brow pencil. You can get the review here Wet n Wild Color Icon Pencil.

Sorry I could not give a detailed look of how i achieved this brow but i basically defined the lower brow line and also the under brow line. I joined the upper brow line to the lower line and fill in the gap created.
I brushed through the brows and this helps to distribute color uniformly. To clean the brows and make it more defined , I used Ginger from my Graftobian HD Glamour foundation.

Observations

  • The dark brown pencil is just perfect for dark to ebony brows.
  • The pencil is too too creamy
  • Easy application and blending
  • Can easily be messing

This is just budget friendly but very good. Try it.

I'm really in the mode of depotting lately. I got this cute Clinique Gift Set from my husband as a travel gift late last year. It contains 5 beautiful lipstick , 4 eyeshadows , a mascara , face powder and a blush .

I just decided to depot the lipsticks and I made my cute lippie palette.

I used an eyelash case as my palette or holder and glue to stick them  the pans to the case.

Meet Kelloggs - She's will be my model for all her tutorials unless you want to .

Kelloggs My Model

I'm going to demonstrate on her, how to blow dry hair for volume .

Things I Use

  • Water bottle filled with water - I make the hair damped before the process.
  • Foam Wrap lotion
  • Round Brush
  • Blow dryer
  • Comb
  • Clip

Process

  • Spray water into hair to make it damp not wet.

Damped Hair

  • Follow it up with your blow drying cream or lotion , in this tutorial I use the KeraCare Form Wrap. Use your comb to distribute product evenly into the hair .

Foam Wrap Lotion -Keracare

Hair ready for blow drying

Keracare Foam Wrap Set Lotion

  • Section the hair into and start blow drying.

    Sectioned hair / brush position

  • Place the round brush underneath the small section hair and position  the blow dryer above the brush onto the section of hair and start pulling down until you reach the ends. Note that  you want the brush to be pulling the roots upwards and the hair dryer to be blowing downwards on the hair as this will make it smooth and add volume to the hair. Once you are near to the ends of your hair, slightly curl the hair under using the brush. If you desire much volume , hold the brush in place for awhile before brushing through. Repeat this with the rest of the sections of hair. ( So so sorry i couldn't show the blow dryer on the hair)

Final Look

I hope you this useful. U can apply any light serum into the hair and style as desired.

MAC Studio Moisture Tint / Dark Deep (Sample) - Review , Demo & Swatch

 Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15
Original MAC Studio Moisture Tint SPF 15

Do you remember my huge haul from MAC? I mention that I was sent some samples and the Studio Moisture Tint in Dark Deep happens to be one.

Sample Size of MAC Studio Moisture Tint - Dark Deep ( Picture from Blackberry 9870 Phone)

Sample MAC Studio Moisture Tint  ( Picture from D3200 Nikon )

The Studio Moisture Tint is a lightweight, hydrating , tinted moisturizer that delivers enough nourishment for the skin. This tint has just enough coverage to even out the skin tone although it's lightweight. It's able to provide the most moist and flawless looking skin.

This is the best product for women like me who do not have time to moisturize , prime, apply sunscreen and foundation before stepping out. The Studio Moisture is a 3 in 1 product. It offers SPF of 15 which is not bad at all.

With my Real Techniques buffer brush I buffer a reasonable amount into the skin and then apply my Mineralized Skinfinish in Deep dark for a more subtle look. For my oily skin , I powder once a while with translucent powder to blot out the excess shine.

Swatch...

This is the look of the skin after buffing into the skin. I bet you cannot see where the product starts and ends.

This is the coverage I received with my Studio Moisture Tint

The final look . I did this 5 minutes look for an early traditional wedding.

( I was just going for a better look of my face and so this is what I did for myself)

Lips - MAC Viva Glam V

Eyebrows - Wet n Wild Color Icon Pencil (Dark brown)

Mascara - Just a coat of MAC Zoomlash

Blush - La Femme Sienna

What I Love ....
  • The coverage I receive is sheer and amazing.
  • It feels very light on the face.
  • Very easy to apply and blend.
  • It's long lasting too.
Overall, I think it's a must have for makeup beginners, women on the go and also great for men makeup. I love it for everyday wear. I think I'm going to get the full size for myself.  I really love the fact that it keeps my makeup bag very light since I have 3 product in 1 to carry around. I like it for it's sheerness yet flawless look. I love using my Real Techniques Buffing brush for applying and also blending this tint.

 Hope you enjoy it .

Beauty On Budget : Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow Pencil ( Dark Brown )

Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow Pencil (Dark Brown)

The Wet n Wild Color Icon Pencils come in 15 different colors. I'm reviewing this product as a brow pencil because I got the shade in dark brown. I must admit that I got it to try out  because of it's price . It cost less than $2.00 and it was also on 20% sale.

I got the shade 'Dark Brown' which is a perfect shade for my women of color brows. It's dark enough toper  define the brows without looking super dark. The pencil is rich, super creamy and it glides on smoothly without tugging.

It's really longer than all my brow pencils. Meaning more product

The only con of this product is that it gets dull quickly due to it's creamy texture and so it requires sharpening between clients.

Hope you find this useful.

How To :Depot My MAC Eyeshadows

I lost one of my favorite MAC eyeshadows from a gig I did recently and I must admit, I was so so hate. I've been organizing my kit lately especially with for all my eyeshadows since I don't want to loose anymore. I  got two of the single  new MAC palette. It's just like the Z-palette. I either buy the MAC refill pan shadows or the pot one depending on availability. I'm gradually building my MAC eyeshadow collection and thanks for Pro Membership I can afford that.

Depotted Eyeshadows

Things I used

  • A source of heat  - I used a candle
  • A small knife
  • A scissor to hold the rubber while heating
  • Palette

Process..

    Eyeshadows ready for depotting.

  • Using your small knife , remove the rubber pan which house the refill pan eyeshadow from the eyeshadow pot . The rubber pan can be removed from the pot closure part.

Rubber Housing with Refill Pan

Emptied MAC Eyeshadow Pot

  •  Hold the rubber pan with scissor and ensure that the flame hits the center of the pan below it . Allowing it to heat up a little without totally melting, the glue which hold the pan in place will be melted and that will make the removal very easy. Using the tip of the knife, punch a cute hole under the pan and push the pan through

Heating rubber pan to melt the glue ( you can see depotted shadows in the palette )

Depotted Eyeshadow / Rubber pan / Pot

  •  Gently place the pan down ,avoid touching it while hot. Clean the unwanted glue on the refill pan or leave it to cool and place it in the palette. Place back the rubber pan into the pot for MAC returns.

This process can be done with any rubber eyeshadow case not paper .I'm thinking of getting more MAC palettes for my blushes , bronzers and skin finishes.

More How To series coming up soon.

Lip of the Day : MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick & NYX Mahogany Lip Pencil

I decided to go glam today with my MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick for Sunday Service . It was really about my lips since I didn't really go in for any eye makeup except a black liner and groomed brows.

NYX Mahogany Lip Pencil & MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick

The MAC Viva Glam V lipstick is a lustre neutral pink with pearl. This is a very friendly pink color for all skin tone and great for everyday wear. I paired it up with NYX Mahogany lip pencil which is described as  a plum brown color.

Here is the swatches of the two products I used. The pencil is quite darker than the lipstick and this gave the look some more flare. I outline and fill in the entire lip with the pencil . This  gave the look more color and some warmth which I liked.

Here is look I came up with . I love the look , It's simply pretty and very light for my God.

So here is the whole look for the day.  On my face I have MAC Mineralize Skin finish in Dark Deep and La Femme Sienna Blush no foundation or concealer.

.

I have more lip combos coming up soon .
