Lip of the Day : MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick & NYX Mahogany Lip Pencil

 I decided to go glam today with my MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick for Sunday Service . It was really about my lips since I didn't really go in for any eye makeup except a black liner and groomed brows.

NYX Mahogany Lip Pencil & MAC Viva Glam V Lipstick 

The MAC Viva Glam V lipstick is a lustre neutral pink with pearl. This is a very friendly pink color for all skin tone and great for everyday wear. I paired it up with NYX Mahogany lip pencil which is described as  a plum brown color.


Here is the swatches of the two products I used. The pencil is quite darker than the lipstick and this gave the look some more flare. I outline and fill in the entire lip with the pencil . This  gave the look more color and some warmth which I liked.

 Here is look I came up with . I love the look , It's simply pretty and very light for my God.

So here is the whole look for the day.  On my face I have MAC Mineralize Skin finish in Dark Deep and La Femme Sienna Blush no foundation or concealer.

The Jordana lip pencils come in a range of 15 beautiful colours . I have just two of them and so far I'm loving them . They're Cabernet which is wine and Plush Plum my fave ,which is also a wine berry colour.The texture of this pencil is so smooth and creamy , which makes for an easy application. This pencil is nice and soft , making it easy to apply without hurting the lips. The pigmentation is super amazing and long lasting .

The price is $1.99 on their site Jordana Cosmetics. Here in Ghana, you can find Jordana Cosmetics at CoCo shop in A&C shopping mall, East Legon. I'm not sure of the price though.

I'm back again with a post  on a very vital part of our face., the lips and how to prevent it from being dry and chapped . Many people by nature possess dry lips and also the lips can be dry due to weather conditions. Dry, chapped lips are so unpleasant and uncomfortable to everyone.

Lip exfoliation is however an important process one can undertake to combat this unpleasant situation . Exfoliating the lips helps remove dead skin cells. It helps the skin retain more moisture and hence prevent chapping. More important , lip cosmetics are able to stay on better and longer.

I have an easy home-made method of lip exfoliation that is so easy to do from just organizing stuffs from your kitchen. The ingredients are all natural and easy obtainable.
