Product Battle: Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder vr L.A. Colors Loose Powder, Light

Hello Beauties , it's been such a long while, yes i know. I have been up to lots of things, the store, work and family. I've been called back to book and so i promise I'm going to do my best and post as frequent as possible.

I love it when i find dupe of high end products which are as quality as the original.  I recently ordered some loose powders from LA Colors and guess what  I realized that one of the shades looked exactly like the famous Ben Nye Banana powder. I shared that info our store's IG page.

LA Colors Loose Powder, Light and Ben Nye Banana Luxury Powder

Today we comparing the LA Colors Loose Powder in Light to the Ben Nye Banana Powder . Both are finely milled loose powder , smooth and flawless application and suitable for all skin types. They are mostly used for highlighting purposes.

Pricing

The Ben Nye Banana Powder retails for GH120.00 for 1.5oz . That's pricey .

On the other hand, the LA Colors retails for GH35.00 for 0.70oz which is so cool . Meaning that with the price of the Banana powder ,You can actually afford to buy 3 of the LA Colors Powder. This is a major win for LA Colors.

Both Powders comes with sifters but the LA Colors gets more messy

if care in not taken when in use.

Application Quality

When you swatch both product, they are pretty identical. They feel the same in terms of texture. The powders are so similar in color.

In terms of availability , they're available in Ghana and online at EJ Beauty Store . You can simply purchase online and it will be delivered anywhere in Ghana.

Clearly , LA Colors won the battle. Ultimately, you get away with low price and same quality as you pay for your Banana powder.

I hope you find useful.

Black Opal Invisible Oil Blocking Powder

Black Opal Invisible Oil Blocking Powder

What Is It ?

It's a lightweight , hypoallergenic finely milled loose powder. It's beige in colour  .
It contains some unique oil blotters which helps control shine. It's works just as good as those high end powders.

What I Like ?

I'm going to summarize that with my 3 Ps . That is Price , Packaging and Performance.

  • Price  - Comparing it to other oil blocking powders, it's very affordable. It's $8.95 at Black Opal
  • Packaging - It comes in a black sleek container with 0.1oz of product. It's very easy to clean and carry around. The container also comes with a sifter which controls the amount of product one can use at a time.
  • Performance
               - It's leaves the T-zone really matte . It's indeed an oil absorbing powder.
               - Very easy to apply and blend
               - Blends easily with the skin
               - Acts as a highlight powder under the eyes .

It's a must have for my oily skin divas. If you're makeup artist and on budget , this powder is really a must buy . Hope you find this helpful.

Graftobian HD Pro Powders Foundation - Review & Swatches

Apart from those amazing Hi-Def foundations from Graftobian I purchased for my pro kit, i was also introduced to their pressed powder foundations. Powder being it pressed or loose is a makeup must-have; it sets foundation; polishes looks and adds softness to the skin.

Graftobian HD pro powders are versatile. They're great for TV, film and bridal work. They're also very great for men makeup. They can be applied dry for a sheer coverage and wet for a full coverage.
